Will 2015 be the year when Senator Francis Escudero and actress Heart Evangelista tie the knot? The lawmaker hopes so.
At a press briefing on Thursday, Escudero said he and his girlfriend are already talking about marriage, but there are no definite plans yet to settle down soon.
"Hindi naman namin itatago 'yun at hindi kami magsisinungaling tungkol doon. Hindi ko rin naman ipagyayabang or uunahan kung wala pa talaga," the senator said.
Asked if the wedding will happen next year, Escudero replied, "Sana. Sana."
For now, the senator said he and Evangelista are just happy to be spending time with each other. He added that he has been bonding lately through painting.
"Sabay kaming nagpe-painting pero kasi ang akin hindi pwedeng i-exhibit. Hindi kaexhi-exhibit e," Escudero quipped.
Evangelista launched an art exhibit on Thursday night. The actress earlier said she finds painting therapeutic, with women and emotions as her favorite subjects for her art pieces.
In 2012, Escudero admitted his relationship with the 29-year-old actress. He has repeatedly said that he wants to marry Evangelista before 2016, the year of the next presidential elections.
The senator is among the top picks for presidential and vice-presidential candidates for the upcoming polls. He, however, has been coy about his political plans.
